Alila Elementary School

Owner: Earlimart School District

Enviroplex delivered five custom modular classrooms for Alila Elementary in Earlimart, CA—complete with landscaping and a playground—transforming the campus and enriching early education in a deeply underserved community.

Project Overview

The Earlimart School District, located in California’s Central Valley, serves a socioeconomically disadvantaged community where resources are limited but educational needs continue to grow. At Alila Elementary School, rising enrollment created an urgent demand for additional classroom space, especially to accommodate transitional kindergarten (TK) and expanded kindergarten programs.

Enviroplex partnered with the district to deliver a comprehensive solution that went beyond traditional classroom construction. The project included the installation of five high-quality modular classroom buildings—four 72’x40′ kindergarten classrooms and one 36’x40′ TK classroom—strategically placed to fit within spatial constraints on campus.

Each building was designed with early learners in mind, featuring age-appropriate restrooms, safety-conscious layouts, and energy-efficient systems. In addition to the classrooms, the project also included extensive landscaping and the installation of a new playground situated directly in front of the buildings. These enhancements transformed not just the school site but the daily experience of students and teachers.

This project was particularly meaningful due to the surrounding area’s extreme poverty. The new facilities brought visible excitement and pride to the campus community. The district celebrated the project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication both at the start and completion of construction—underscoring the significance of this investment in local children’s futures.

Despite challenges with site logistics and timelines, Enviroplex worked hand-in-hand with district and construction partners to ensure on-time delivery and successful execution. The result is a lasting impact on a school that now has the infrastructure to grow, engage, and inspire its youngest learners.

From Our Clients

“It is so great to see all of our children back at school. I really did miss them over the summer! And it is an extra special treat that our children are now in classrooms that are much more conducive for learning. The favorite comment from the children is, ‘the bathrooms are so clean and there’s green handles for the flushers.’ You have to love children’s expressions; I smile all day long.”

“The Evergreen School District has used Enviroplex buildings for over ten years. We have purchased over 150 classrooms, bathrooms, and library buildings in various configurations. The newer configurations with pitched metal roofs, stucco-like finish, thicker installation, and internal HVAC units have been well received by our teachers and community. We also appreciate Enviroplex’s commitment to deliver the buildings on time for our accelerated eight-week summer construction schedule. During the last two years we have purchased 39 units, and they were all received during the one week window we gave Enviroplex.”

James Crawford

Evergreen School District

“Our students and teachers are truly enjoying and appreciating your classrooms. Enviroplex delivered this project as promised, on time, per specification and with minimal change orders. I realize how difficult this can be on a multi-million dollar project. We are entirely satisfied with the feel and sound quality of your concrete paneled floor system. I have heard zero complaints from our “1st Floor Teachers”. Thank you again for a very favorable construction experience.”

Roy Miller

Emery Unified School District

“We are thrilled with the result of our beautiful renovation. We now have 5 new classrooms to replace our ‘1962’ portables and trailer. It has been exhilarating to watch the weekly progress this summer. Our landscaping, classroom and parking lot makeover has greatly improved our community school.”
