Luther Burbank School

Owner: Luther Burbank School District

Enviroplex delivered a two-story modular classroom building for Luther Burbank School District, combining durable construction, thoughtful design, and efficient delivery to support growing student populations in San Jose.

Project Overview

As student populations continue to grow, school districts face increasing pressure to expand learning environments quickly—without compromising quality or long-term durability. For Luther Burbank School District, the need was clear: a permanent, thoughtfully designed classroom facility that could support both current demands and future growth.

Backed by Measure HH, a community-approved bond initiative, the project reflects the district’s long-term commitment to investing in modern, permanent learning environments that serve both students and staff.

Enviroplex partnered closely with the district to deliver a two-story modular classroom building that balances efficiency with enduring construction. From early planning through final installation, the focus remained on creating a space that feels cohesive with the existing campus while meeting modern educational standards.

The 8,640-square-foot structure was designed to maximize usable space while maintaining a welcoming and functional environment for students and staff. The two-story design allowed the district to expand capacity while making efficient use of limited campus space—an important consideration for urban school sites.

By leveraging modular construction, Enviroplex was able to streamline the build process, reduce disruption on campus, and accelerate project timelines—all while maintaining strict quality control.

Beyond speed, the project emphasized long-term performance. Durable materials, integrated systems, and customized interior layouts ensure the building supports day-to-day learning while standing up to years of use.

The result is more than just additional classrooms—it’s a reliable, well-integrated educational space that replaces aging portables and supports a growing student population. With a focus on collaboration and clarity throughout the process, Enviroplex delivered a solution that aligns with both immediate needs and long-term goals.

From Our Clients

“It is so great to see all of our children back at school. I really did miss them over the summer! And it is an extra special treat that our children are now in classrooms that are much more conducive for learning. The favorite comment from the children is, ‘the bathrooms are so clean and there’s green handles for the flushers.’ You have to love children’s expressions; I smile all day long.”

“The Evergreen School District has used Enviroplex buildings for over ten years. We have purchased over 150 classrooms, bathrooms, and library buildings in various configurations. The newer configurations with pitched metal roofs, stucco-like finish, thicker installation, and internal HVAC units have been well received by our teachers and community. We also appreciate Enviroplex’s commitment to deliver the buildings on time for our accelerated eight-week summer construction schedule. During the last two years we have purchased 39 units, and they were all received during the one week window we gave Enviroplex.”

James Crawford

Evergreen School District

“Our students and teachers are truly enjoying and appreciating your classrooms. Enviroplex delivered this project as promised, on time, per specification and with minimal change orders. I realize how difficult this can be on a multi-million dollar project. We are entirely satisfied with the feel and sound quality of your concrete paneled floor system. I have heard zero complaints from our “1st Floor Teachers”. Thank you again for a very favorable construction experience.”

Roy Miller

Emery Unified School District

“We are thrilled with the result of our beautiful renovation. We now have 5 new classrooms to replace our ‘1962’ portables and trailer. It has been exhilarating to watch the weekly progress this summer. Our landscaping, classroom and parking lot makeover has greatly improved our community school.”
